About Little Ems

My Grandparents called me Little Ems and as I didnt really get very tall in my later years - the nick name stuck.

I live in the flat Fens of Norfolk and enjoy the ever changing 'BIG SKY' that surrounds me.

Always the Creative

Since I was a child, I was always drawing, painting, cutting out pictures of things I liked, making and creating and generally making a lot of creative mess.

Being a child of the 80's, I fell in love with Jim Hensons Muppets and when he worked with Brian Froud on Labyrinth - I was hooked!  Tim Burtons eccentric worlds with Batman Forever in the 90's and later the Corpse Bride , I realised I didnt have to be restrictive with my art.

I have found that pushing the boundaries in my concept designs into the weird and creepy sooo much fun! I often have several ideas in progress and be it huge wall murals right down  to tiny clay creatures - I am always creating.

I believe that todays distractions - take us away from our inner child, our fun side and our creative processes. Which is why I enjoy running workshops. I hope to draw imagination and creativity from people and help them develope their creative skills.

I have a great deal of experience in the world of mental health and hope to bring a bit of wellbeing to people through my art and sculpture workshops.

"As children, we all live in a world of imagination, of fantasy, and for some of us that world of make-believe continues into adulthood." Quote by Jim Henson
